Where Crap Quarterbacks Dominate

The game is simple. Choose a starting NFL QB each week (anytime before kickoff of the first game). The worse your QB performs, the better. There are only two categories- Most INTs and lowest Passer Rating. The two winners at the end of the year will win...something.

*You cannot use a quarterback more than once during the season. It's ok. There are a lot of bad ones out there, and many are sure to be injured or benched.

Week 1 Pre-game Notes

A quick rundown of thoughts leading up to week 1:

-As of right now, there are 38 participants. I tried to organize it so that each participant at least knows a few of the others inside their division. I had a nice even 36 with 6 divisions of 6, but 2 a-holes got back to me late and just had to be included. I am punishing them and the rest of the Collier Hall boys be putting them in a super division of 8.

-Trent Edwards was by far the most popular pick for week 1. Nearly one out of every four participants picked Trent. In fact, two participants even picked Trent's back-ups- Brian Brohm and Ryan Fitzpatrick, proving that it doesn't matter who lines up under center for the Bills because they are dogsuck.

I mean Chan Gailey? Are you serious? Didn't anyone in their organization see Hard Knocks Dallas a couple of years back?

-Two participants (Ostrom and Levin) chose Brett Favre who played in the Thursday night game. I was seriously debating this pick. He finished with a mediocre line of 15/27 171 yards a teeder and a pick for a PER of 71.7. Not the best as far as this league is concerned but not bad for rolling the dice.

-Here is the breakdown of picks for week 1:

Trent Edwards (9)
Dennis Dixon (4)
Derek Anderson (4)
Matt Cassel (3)
Joe Flacco (3)
Matt Hasselbeck (3)
Brett Favre (2)
Matt Moore (2)
Vince Young (2)
Jason Campbell (1)
Jay Cutler (1)
Jake Delhomme (1)
Kevin Kolb (1)
Kyle Orton (1)
Carson Palmer (1)
Matt Stafford (1)

-The winner of the last poll question "Which Participant has the Best QB Name?" was Jake McClean. I thought about making the second poll "Who Has the Worst QB Name?" but then Carolanne Wipfli joined and removed all doubt.

The new poll question is "What is the Biggest Roll of the Dice for Week 1?" please be sure to vote. *Note- I just added another poll question: "Who was the biggest omission of Week 1?"

A couple more housekeeping items:

-I am really worried about people not getting me their picks for a week or skipping weeks. As I said before, the punishment will be a 10 for 10, 200 yard 3TD 0INT line.

-Also if you choose a QB and he ends up not starting, unless I hear different from you beforehand, I will assign you his back-up

-Lastly, if your QB is knocked out or benched during the first half, you will take on the stats of the back-up for the rest of the game. If he is knocked out or benched in the 2nd half, I will only take the selected QB's stats. Got it?

Sorry if you don't like that rule, but chances are your guy's replacement is gonna be crap too so it shouldn't hurt.
